RIP D Angelo
I actually shed a tear the first time I heard “Unshaken”
60fps replay gonna hit different
This game obviously is remarkably well written broadly and with the overall story beats, the narrative, character arcs, motivations, subtext, the whole thing
But just moment to moment and the actual dialogue, it’s up there with the best dialogue I’ve ever heard and it’s consistent for like 50 hours or however long it is.
You’re just constantly hearing such well written back and forths, turns of phrase, rebuttals, clever punch lines. It has that rhythmic tarantino or coen brothers vibe where some of the lines are just satisfying to listen to from a language perspective

Another game that I feels has similar quality dialogue to it (also has writing by Houser like RDR) is LA Noire, especially the banter between the main character and his partner(s).
The death of single player DLC is so fkn tragic man
Rockstar is obviously super proud of this game. They should be, it's their masterpiece. I cant believe they took the cowards way out to make more online money

Man i really loved LA Noire and wish we got another one

An undead nightmare set in rdr2 would have been an instant classic

My only complaint about this game, and it’s a major one, is the f***ing movement system. There’s no reason to have character speed tied to the X button. It’s so stupid and something that I hope to god they change in GTA 6.

Bruh. Don't get me started on this. That's one of the main reasons I've (unfortunately) been unable to get past the first few hours of this game and GTA 5.
Nothing worse than slow movement to me. Holding down a button to go from a slow walk to a slightly faster walk or a slow jog is misery. One of my pet peeves in video games.
If my joystick is pushed all the way forward then my character BETTER start jogging.

Right or like at least make it so that you can press the left stick to run

I get what you are saying but I don’t wanna have to tilt my joystick just to walk fast/jog lmao the system they have is perfect for those type of games it’s not a first person shooter
