but that's a poor assessment, creating more competition would be microsoft investing in their own first party studios/investing into small-ish studios that need the funding. Not buying out a huge publisher, if anything that is a step towards competition being stifled.

Sony was paying for exclusive dlc , game modes , bought insomniac, bought guerilla games years ago and so much more . Microsoft has money where they could have bought epic and kept fortnite to itself . They’ve always been friends with zenimax whose owner recently passed . Sony been home of jrpgs . FINAL FANTASY EXCLUSIVE DEAL. There are many games with deals with Sony to not go to game pass .

Buy 3-4 yrs of xbl gold, buy the $1 gamepass ultimate and it turns ur gold to 4 yrs of gamepass
