Obviously its not a C2 or C3 but its definiletly a Carter album and Im really glad it was. He could definiletly made a better project overall but i doubt it would sound like a carter album like it does. It is one of the most personal wayne projects and I feel like it is really such an important album for wayne fans.

They're pretty equal to me. C5 obviously has the better rapping, but it's a tad bit too long and it lacked a real "hit"

C4 despite its many flaws has s*** like 6 Foot 7 Foot, She Will, John, President Carter, It's Good etc.

C4 was a real moment in hip-hop. C5's release ending up being a bit underwhelming.

5 grew on me heavy. never been a huge fan of the final C3, so i’d put it above that album tbh. obviously not in terms of impact though

i’d rank the Carter albums 1>2>5>3>4 and i really love C4

Good album but definitely my least favorite of the Carter series. Would've been better if it weren't so bloated but Wayne had to feed people after his hiatus.

For me it goes, C2 = C3, C1, C4, then C5.

it has great songs, especially Let The Beat Build, Comfortable, Don’t Get It, A Milli, Got Money, etc., but the deluxe put C5 above it for me

although C3 deluxe has I’m Me 🤔 dam this is really tough. i hate ranking Carter albums bc they’re all around the 9.5 range

thats kinda why i made this thread, funeral is considerably a better album but its no Carter, it just doesnt have that appealling, it probably got better rapping but Carter 5 is really a Carter album and Im glad Wayne cares about that

Don’t Cry, Dedicate, Let It Fly, Can’t Be Broken, Dark Side of the Moon, Open Letter, Famous, Took His Time, Open Safe, Mess, Let it all Workout are all 10/10 imo.

Plus we got Life of Mr. Carter & Scottie on the deluxe - that’s a lot of high quality music.

don’t get me wrong, i love everything on C3 now. but i never had nostalgic ties to the album as a whole, just certain songs from it. meanwhile, for whatever reason, i’ve always loved everything from C1, C2, and C4 (and C5 now, even though it’s relatively new)

C5 has a lot of REALLY personal & introspective songs on it, where C3 had a few but was more about being on top as the greatest rapper alive at the time with all the hits. that’s why i favor C5, it’s Wayne looking inward more than he ever had.
