I don’t think music is that deep. If it’s a “demanding” album then to me that sounds like an excuse to like something you don’t really f*** with
Yes it is

Not everyone is gonna consume music the way you do tho. I don’t get why that concept is so hard for some of y’all to understand lol
Didn’t it re-enter the charts this year lol?
Either way this is such a bad way to judge music.
The most important factor in my eyes when it comes to music is how much people like it
The idea that a project is soooo good that I only wanna listen to it once every two years is flawed to me
Replay value is very real but it’s all subjective
Just like almost everything in music
How can an album be soooo amazing if ppl don’t ever wanna listen to it?
Hot take: conditioning by labels and mass media alike has made us as a society like music far more than we actually do ducks
One listen classics lol
One listen classics lol
Niggas will claim classics for albums that they literally never ever ever listen to 😂😂😂
And replay value isn’t the same thing as accessibility
The most easily accessible thing in the world may not have replay value to some people. Some people would rather replay Illmatic than an Ed Sheeran album
How tf can an album be bad and mediocre if it has insane replay value lmao huh
Y’all say anything on here
Its something only Drake can do
All the way through from front to back? S*** idk lol
But Elevate, Is There More, Jaded, Mob Ties, Nonstop, Emotionless, Can't Take A Joke, Blue Tint, all get daily spins. They're on my AM workout playlist.
I think it's unrealistic in this playlist centered climate to consistently play albums all the way through, but you should find enough moments in your life to play chunks of the record if you genuinely like it to the point of calling it a classic.
Damn I was just thinking about this last night lol. Guess I’m not crazy
Frank’s discog is definitely something I can’t casually throw in the car because I have to be in the mood to properly digest it.
But we all know his discog is absolutely incredible and each listen will be great
Yall really feel like this ?
I can put on any Frank album at anytime and enjoy it
I just feel like a lot of what we feel about Albums in general is conditioned to us. Like, Idk.
How can an album be a classic, that people rave about, get 10/10's on pitchfork, but no one gives a f*** about it within two years after it's release?
Just me, and I know i'm in the minority on this
replay value is for video games
you just press play and listen. the f***
nope it totally is.
not gonna toss on "u" in the car
But like if you're in your room chillin you could listen to it again and again right?
I love Tyler and the intro but album sounds like it was written by a edgy 13 year old girl who’s crush don’t like her
Well that is what the album is about
Well that is what the album is about
Nigga is 30 I hope his next album is his most mature
Is replay value not real for other art like movies? If you like a movie, do you watch it every day for a week?
But like if you're in your room chillin you could listen to it again and again right?
I mean yeah maybe not "again and again" but I feel like for that song in particular a lot of it's charm comes within the context of the album
personally I really dig the super dense introspective stuff for the context of an album listen but I'm not gonna put it in a playlist to
def seeing your point though now to an extent lol
