    i like that the zombies are tanky. only video game zombies (other than like project zomboid) i can think of that actually feel like a single one is a threat. first time that zombie in the gas station pops up in re2 remake and i realize these f***ers aren't gonna stop

    i love left 4 dead zombies too but this is just a different pace

    I STRUGGLE TO EVEN CHANGE WEAPONS WHICH IS HOW GAMING SHOULD BE

    Most headshots will stun your enemy and you can run up and hit them with melee, also it’s very easy to get critical headshots that blow enemies heads off. Ganado are not half as tanky as RE2 remake zombies

    Most headshots will stun your enemy and you can run up and hit them with melee, also it’s very easy to get critical headshots that blow enemies heads off. Ganado are not half as tanky as RE2 remake zombies

    they feel more spongy than original but I give it to them because will upgrade guns over time etc.

    One of my favorite additions is blowing a limb off or blowing an enemy in half and seeing the plaga moving around inside of their dead corpse

    game much more rewarding with no hud, reticule or auto aim. Also looks cleaner

    Even in Survival horror rewarding headshots isn't bad . If the game responds when you shoot someone in the leg they stagger, you can shoot a weapon out of their hand, they can regrow with a tentacle at their head, why the f*** would it not respond for shooting them in their brain

    headshots aren't easy to pull off . My first demo run I was landing headshot after headshot and was like "fuck this game hard as f***" then I just shot them wherever willy nilly and it was easier. That is just an odd feedback

    You have bosses with weakpoints all game. You can be survival horror and reward the player for aiming at the head in fact that is the survival horror part. THEY TOOK THE TIME IT TAKES TO AIM AT THE HEAD IN AN EFFORT TO SAVE AMMO BUT TOOK THE RISK OF GETTING RUSHED WHILE AIMING

    nah headshots are rewarded through crit chance, melee, and knife after melee. i think you’re misremembering cause re4 had bullet sponge enemies as well.

    I was doing a run where I was so focused on headshots and I was like wtf,but since I just started shooting them wherever I get it. When you get so used to be rewarded more for headshots it feels odd. you doing auto aim or reticule? like I am trying to see which way the game plays best .

    It's more on me and my own expectations, not the game's fault. I played a bit of OG RE4 on PS4 and definitely preferred the more action focused gameplay. And I didn't get far at all in RE2, I'm sure it gets easier to kill the zombies when you unlock more guns

    i think it’s way more rewarding to see the enemies as obstacles that you need to avoid and make decisions about which to kill off rather than something more actiony where you have to take everyone out. for instance in the police station of 2 i rarely if ever kill the guys in the police office room since it’s so easy to outmaneuver them with the desks. that way i get to save ammo/sub weapons for when i really need them

    with less ammo than usual and knife can break it feels like headshots would be the W but I get it. Because when I aim for head shots I have a greater chance to miss entirely than a body shot but found based on rate of crit at least in demo might as well body shot or leg shot for melee over and over

    only done two runs on ps5 with base settings. i keep the reticule on and idk anything about the auto aiming but i’m gonna look and switch it off it’s on

    ahh interesting, yeah something i was really hoping they would do is bring back the limb removal stuff re2remake, but since the demo is so hectic i haven’t had a chance to try it out yet

    yeah we’re on the same page about that, but what i like is that that lets you make choices about which enemies to prioritize killing rather than doing like a sweep

    Reticule just ugly to me so turned it off and like no hud but wish I could see quicktime prompts with no hud. when I figured out you could stab while they are holding you or push them off
