I’d imagine they’d use Leon getting older as an excuse as to why he won’t be able to do backflips and s*** anymore so his sections don’t run the risk of just being mindless action a la RE6.
Also, let’s pray that them going open world doesn’t lead to DD/MH type performance.

Go through with every leaker. Every “reliable” leaker is correct for while. But eventually their downfall always comes lol

I know they could easily be trolling to not spoil it. But they seem pretty adamant on Leon not being in the game lol. Excluding ppl who follow leaks, I don’t think many ppl had any anticipation of any specific MC for this. So if he was in the game as a playable character, I’d imagine they’d just ignore the leaks, and not address it at all.
They said they initially considered him but opted not to. So I can imagine a scenario where some leakers received footage or concepts of him in the game. But since then things changed.

Also don’t see why them dropping the numbers would matter. The last 2 games barely incorporate numbers. RE8 is just called “RE Village” in stores, and I’m sure Requiem with be the same. The next RE game will be called RE10 by fans regardless so I can’t imagine why they would just drop them lol.
