The album was a representation of his approach to making music in this arc of his life. He’s no longer the focused, detail oriented person with his craft. I liked the album tho OP, it ain’t my fav Kanye album by far but it didn’t suck

I feel like the key thing that shifted my opinion was taking the album on it's own terms, as opposed to comparing it to the rest of his discog.
