Nelly came from a Midwestern city without any co-signs from other artist.
50 had everything lined up for him, being from NY and had Dre and Em backing him. And he still couldn’t last past 2 albums even with handily ending Ja’s career. To me he fumbled along the way because he should be considered top 5 with what he had.
50 was boycotted by pretty much everyone in NY, he dissed everyone when he released how to rob and had a beef with Supreme. Also Irv and Ja told other record label to not sign him. 50 basically blew up on his own when he released them mixtapes.

Em been supporting Royce for 20 years, made a album with him, put him on his albums, yet royce still cant make a hit on his own. Same goes for D12, obie trice and pretty much most artists in shady records.

It's like niggas forget Obie Trice, Cashis, and Yelawolf exist. They all had direct help from Eminem yet never came remotely close to 50's buzz.
If it was as simple as Em and Dre pushing people, Shady and Aftermath records would've been found more superstars than just Kendrick. 50 was literally the mixtape king before he got signed to them.
