Lol ridley definitely finessed them lol
this was really good. that duel will go down as one of best scenes of the yr for me. sucks this is not doing great at the BO
this was kinda boring
didnt need 3 perspectives
by the time the duel came i was kinda bored and i didnt even think it was that good or epic either
6/10 for me personally
this looks really good to me. love the rashomon style narrative
i gotta check it out asap before it gets yoinked from the box office lol
it definitely takes you into the world for sure though and it doesnt deserve to be a box office failure at all

definitely go see it my friend who is into history and medieval type stuff really enjoyed it
7/10 for mine, enjoyed it even though it's a bit repetitive at times
some of the scenes are extraordinarily hard to watch which is good film making I guess but damn it gets grim
This movie’s f***ing great and it’s being let down financially by poor marketing and COVID trepidation.
I’m starting to worry in 5 years movies like this will be passed over for more comic book movies (which I like but I don’t want that to become the total cinema market).
Comer, Driver and Affleck probably looking at nominations.

The rape scene from Comer’s perspective literally had me squirming in my seat at one point and made me want to say uncle.
Thinking about it, the genius of showing Driver’s perspective first was that it almost lulled you into a false sense of security with it being so quick with the actual rape part. And then when Comer’s bit came on it they just made it drag on as long as artistically possible to really make your stomach twist and turn.
A BIG QUESTION IS I THINK FROM RIDLEY TRYING TO LEAD US INTO THINKING ACTUALLY FELT SOMETHING during the R scene because i just dont understand the juxtaposition of all the close ups on her face when she had s***with Matt Damon which she cleafly didnt enjoy almost numb and then the close up on her face when she gets R where you clearly see a whole range of facial expressions emotions ikd its twisted and dark af
And then to link that up with them asking her IF SHE ENJOYED IT?
and her pausing a moment just to say no
That’s actually a very common thing with women being raped, where the heightened emotions means the body reacts and the woman o*****s which often leads to multiple mental anguishes on an assaulted woman that has to deal with the issues of not wanting to have s***with that person but their body has essentially betrayed them.
So Scott illustrating that in that scene wasn’t super out of joint and they later come back to it in the court scene when they question her about wherever or not she experienced “the little death” when with Driver’s character.
I liked it but idk how the GA will feel. After I saw it some guy in my theater said something like “I was tricked by the trailers I thought this was an action movie”

This imo
Damn
I LITTERALY went and saw it
Ridley needs to take a nap
i feel like these could make both the movies better tbh
