It updates 4x a day, and I have it set to show top album and single covers from the last 7 days

Wanted to make it update every minute or two with a “Now Playing: [artist - song title]” bar, but I figure either last.fm or ktt2 would rate limit me, not to mention I’d def go beyond GitHub action’s free usage tier

Had to tinker with it a little bit, but more or less I just saved a logged in session token, stored it as a a secret, then had Claude spin up a super simple python script that calls the last.fm API to retrieve top albums from this week, assembles it into a 3x8 grid (Pillow library), and finally uses the saved session token (via Playwright) to send the request to upload the new banner

All of that runs automatically on a github action every 6 hours, but if you have a PC, Linux server or something that stays on 24/7 you could just do this locally

There’s also a little tool to alert you if the token expires, and refresh it with a new one if you approve
