Half the Jews in Israel (Mizrahi, Sephardi Jews) came from Arab lands where they'd lived peacefully for hundreds of years before being thrown out recently. There's a million Moroccan Jews in Israel alone.
Most of these Jews tend to be far more conservative and right-leaning, they're the ones who vote Netanyahu.
The white (Ashkenazi) Jews from Europe tend to be far more pro-peace and left-wing.
