i can just imagine the vibes especially with it being a surprise etc
i didn't even remember that. crazy memory to have laying around on your snapchat storys holy f
it feels good though that he got to make it up with Ski again and tell him personally that he loved him before he passed

yeah i’m glad they got to end things on a good note, i hope that wasn’t the last time they saw each other. it’s just sad the amount of talent and potential X had at such a young age, and he wasn’t even close to being at his best stage, it hurts even more cus dude was actually trying to change himself as a person and become more mature.
people forget Malcolm X was a pimp and dealer named Red before he became Malcolm X. People go through bad moments in they life but they grow from it and become better.

in this reply i see nothing but fax, another fax and some more fax. (also your 2nd reply about Malcolm X). i wrote a page or two ago that it consoles me that with X it wasn't a "what if" / "what he could've been" type situation, because the trajectory was a definite one -undeniable energy. so i find comfort in knowing he would've done amazing things, no doubt in my mind. and yeah X's new seasons as a changed, evolved and overall more positive being (and how this would've reflected in his art) would've been something else
my bad fam, i did read "revenge", but the coverart made me think it was Jocelyn Flores for some reason ah yes Garetts revenge
at the point this dropped there was a whole lot of his older material i hadn't heard yet (so i was lowkey out of the loop regarding his artistic capabilities and diversity etc) but i KNEW we we're in for something special when this dropped. also, he play gatar
such a vibe
put the replay button six feet deep the first days
edit: my bad fam AGAIN i thought the "remember listening on soundcloud when it dropped" was referring to the album 17
lmao you’re good bro
i remember my friend bumping look at me before he blew up in 2015, people outside the soundcloud scene were NOT f***ing with it then
lmao you’re good bro
apart from the misread my points still stand so
replayed the f*** out of both things, fell in love with both things onlyrodemybikewhenthealbumdropped but 2/3

i know ofc in the music industry it's not unusual that artists spend some time in the underground before they make it big etc, but it just gives me a weird feeling, knowing how he was "hidden in plain sight" for a few years before blowing up

probably my favorite song from him

yeah he had a decent fanbase before the blow up
honestly never expected him to get to the level he did
probably my favorite song from him
one of mine too in my grave i'll ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT (cinematic bassline) duuudududuu
love everything about this song

random af but Jocelyn Flores autoplayed from youtubez SEAMLESSLY into Guardian Angel (the reversed) got me like
oh for sure. lightspeed blow up i just meant like, for someone as big as he got, it just feels kinda weird (well weird isn't really the word, idk which word tbh) the prospect that he was just a dude chilling on soundcloud since like 2013-2014, like he was "always there" in a way
First celebrity death that really hit me tbh, because I'd actually known a good bit about his music and kept up with him
Can't believe we lost him and Juice back to back
