Doesn’t make them legends man
Respect to everyone in this list, even though I think Peep was terrible.... but none of these guys are legend.....
Kanye, NWA, Nas, Jay, Wayne are legends
Drake and Kendrick will be in time
Not trying to disrespect any of these guys, Mac is one of my favorite artists, but none of them compare to the REAL legends of hip-hop..... and that’s not an insult
KTT throws the words classic and legend around way too loosely
Ask yourself if this is worth being pedantic about

It’s not a big deal, but it takes away from the actual legends when Lil Peep gets called a legend
Lmao I made a thread a while back on people being too quick on calling these artist.
Honestly only ones who had more impact in there careers and more time developing them were Mac and Nipsey are up for legend status but the others were just walking instead of running in their careers like the two I mention.
It’s cool if the artist is personal to you that you deem them legends in your eyes but I wouldn’t call them legends imo tbh, the word gets thrown around loosely already
Went out with a hit

The problem is you're looking at it from the wrong perspective. The way you see the artists you cited as legends is the same way younger people now see X at the very least. New artists that come up in the future will cite him as their inspiration in the same way as legendary artists are cited today.
