That sequence was brilliant. You get a parallel of Vader killing the Emperor, but instead of the redemption scene that we were expecting Rian pulled out the “rule the galaxy as father and son” parallel and made Kylo go full villain. Kylo was the most interesting character in this trilogy by far and he would’ve been excellent as the main villain, but JJ didn’t have the creativity to pull it off so he wasted his character for a predictable and poorly executed redemption arc.

Kylo's redemption Arc was better than Anakin's/Vader's. Vader did one f***ing thing, after killing millions and people still think his redemption was good.
Rey and Kylo get some with the force bond s*** tbh. But Poe and Finn literally do nothing that movie
Finn starts the movie not giving a damn about the Resistance, only Rey and by the end of it he's willing to risk his life for the Resistance and would have had Rose not intervened.
Poe starts the movie being undermined by Leia and Holdo and by the end is the defacto leader of the Resistance.

Isn’t Leia still general at the end

In title sure, but at the end when she's like, "don't look at me, follow him" I saw as a bit of a passing of the torch thing.

Kylo’s redemption was trash man. He was fully evil and motivated to destroy the resistance and rule the galaxy at the end of TLJ, then halfway through ROS he just decided to be good cause his mom sends some force signal or some s*** when she dies and he imagines his dad talking to him.

It's better switching last minute like Darth Vader. Kylo technically turned good in tlj, but wanted to rule the Galaxy.

I find Vader’s more realistic. Watching his son get tortured by the master that he hates was a compelling reason to switch, and Vader had been brainwashed for years by the Emperor so it makes sense that it’d take a shocking spur-of-the-moment situation to flip him.
For some reason it angers me twitter and rotten tomatoes users like this.... like how in the world did you enjoy that plot
Inb4 shut up boomer

"I find Vader’s more realistic. " Lol after torturing his daughter and cutting off Luke's hand
realistic or not why would they go with the redemption plot again? Vader's redemption is one of the most iconic scenes in fiction, why even repeat it

i saw a good a***ysis of poe in tlj and they said all he could do was lead by blowing stuff up no matter what happened to anyone else and once kylo blew up his x wing he had to learn to be a REAL leader
