Who the hell leaves a window open while showering
your bathroom must be mouldy as hell b
most roaches can't fly and all species we have here don't
Maybe where you live but in California I’ve seen flying roaches lol
Does anyone know why humans are so repulsed by roaches? And not by, say a cricket or caterpillar?
They are an invasive species. Once you see baby ones at your home then it’s over for you.
“ Cockroaches are considered to be dangerous as an allergen source and asthma trigger. They may also carry certain bacteria that can cause illnesses if left on food. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) , cockroaches are “unhygienic scavengers in human settlementS”
“ The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that roaches can carry pathogens that cause a variety of diseases including gastroenteritis (with diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting), dysentery, cholera, leprosy, typhoid fever, plague, poliomyelitis, and salmonellosis”
Plus there not the best looking and only tend to come out in the dark. They’ve become a symbol of an unsanitary home/building.
For me personally it’s f*** all bugs
LMAOOOO
This aint s*** compared to what happened to me last week
I was outside catching some fresh air at night and I thought I felt something on my elbow but I didn't see anything so I figured a bug just flew past and hit me
Anyways I go inside and sit down on the couch and feel sum fluttering allover my back so I stand up mad fast and a giant f***ing 3 inch roach starts flying away from me

people usually link roaches with dirt
theyre faster too more surprising harder to deal with

I think roaches multiply much faster, so an infestation is more eminent with them than a cricket or caterpillar. So that's one element of it.
But I understand what you mean,
as termites or ants aren't as repulsive.
It may be that roaches are also then associated with an environment that is dirty.
Ants are as well but they are much smaller, so they aren't as visually imposing.
Different insects being food sources at some point in our biology may have something to do with it is well. And there are probably more underlying reasons I am unaware of. But that's what I can think of picking my brain.

Fax, I have to run a dehumidifier sometimes because I don't have a bathroom window

Yeah ants is a good point. They're attracted to messiness, but are so small that they come off as an annoyance instead of repulsive. Roaches look disgusting and are fast af.
I also think apart of it is what happens when you kill it. You can hear their shells cracking and see their blood/guts project onto the surroundings
cockroaches fly?
yes
i went out to texas a couple years back and they're big as f*** and fly down there. f***ers fly up to your face outdoors and slap niggas

I think there are a lot of bugs people call cockroaches
People from New York typically do not consider what I consider to be a cockroach a cockroach
This is a thread I'd make
I honestly clicked on this thread thinking you made it
