Totally agree.
But their priorities last 2-3 years have been very consumer based instead of fan based. Namely the scuffed GTA Remasters & pushing GTA V/online into the PS5 era. GTA Online was a money printer and they nostalgia bated us with the remasters.
A true fan based decision would've been making a RDR 2 PS5 version with 60 fps & dlc(?) - but fiscal years & covid got in the way I guess.
Felt like they should've balanced that a bit more.

Eh thats on the publishing side / buisness side. The dev side has been fully focused on gta 6 since 2018

No I know they’ve been working on it but it’s insane that they haven’t made any announcements really to the public or shared any information to people who have waited almost 10 years

Rockstar are soo secretive and selective about revealing their games in specific ways
Actual gameplay footage of GTAV was only revealed a month before it dropped
RDR2 gameplay footage was 2 months before it dropped
And even then with both those reveals it was mostly voiceover and very short clips, nothing extended or uninterrupted
They 100% didn’t want leak this to happen 😭

Exactly, Rockstar literally said they're disappointed how the next GTA got presented with these leaks in their statement
