Literally every guy I know irl played that game and I’ve not once heard a mfer say he thought it was just ok especially when it first came out.
Overrated is the more accurate depiction than mid . Mid was the extreme . It scored 10/10s
Underwhelmed in comparison to past gtas and the 10/10 score yes . Mid itself is a rami level but I had heard people to his extreme lol ask him why he thinks it’s mid
This going to be dragged out another few days because people this defensive of gta v . Which is my point
GTA V was viewed as mid and overrated for multiple years until they started doing all the updates and online took off.
idk what world this was in, everyone I knew thought GTA V was gods gift to earth upon release
idk what world this was in, everyone I knew thought GTA V was gods gift to earth upon release
Okay people exist outside your world just like they exist outside mine. I am not saying it was unanimous hate or dislike. I’m saying someone could say hey this story isn’t all that and those that liked it wouldn’t react because they liked what they liked lol . Vs now someone can say “ mission structure “ or any small criticism and it leads to multiple pages . Rami said it was mid not I lol . Technologically I think it was dope but story and mission wise not as much . Not bad by any means . I already talked about why many people perspectives like rami could differ from others . Part of which is nostalgia. Gta creates nostalgia for different people based on what is their favorite gta and how much of the rollout they followed
Confirmed
Trailer when? Just spoke to my source, he said," Oh so soon. TAHAAAAAA!!!" And I believe him.
Yes in your experience. We’ve been through this we all have different experiences and that is okay .
When I said hot take I don’t mean it’s the minority or majority opinion. I mean people can hear the opinion without getting defensive. If I wanted to say it was the majority or minority opinion I would say that
Example : many people think Witcher 3 is overrated . To call it overrated wouldn’t be met with a huge defense. Even by those that love it they understand the sentiment
Your experience seems to be differing from everyone else's A lot of us are saying we didn't see people being disappointed or thinking GTA 5 was overrated at launch
I think people would get defensive if someone in 2013 said "GTA 5 overrated, it didn't deserve those scores". The heists were a disappointment, the plot was kinda weak, some awful dialogue (personally I hated Trevor's cutscenes) but I was so distracted by the gameplay and open world that I didn't even care. But looking back, I wouldn't give that game a perfect score
I think what you're saying is more applicable to RDR2. The gameplay just felt awful, I still remember being in the KTT(2?) thread and people were saying stuff like "I thought Arthur was moving like that because of the snow but this is just the game, wtf "
I immediately felt like it was overrated. A game like that should not have received perfect scores, even though it gets so much else right
But this is a problem I have with gaming publications, they too friendly in general. Have the balls to give a soulless AAA game like Far Cry 5 a 4/10 score instead of the default 8/10. Everything's inflated so great but seriously flawed games are still pulling 10/10s. Leads to a lot of games being overrated when gamers actually play them
Wonder if the release window from reveal to drop will be shorter than normal?
I mean, this year will be the 10th anniversary of V and 5th year anniversary of RDR2.
we back
Good Lord gracious we are back!!!
I expect it to be late 2025 tbh but you do you rockstar
per IGN why this is GTA 6:
For one, Take-Two's net bookings this past fiscal year reached $5.3 billion - a record annual high. Notably, this record was reached thanks to the contributions of Zynga, which it acquired last year. Prior to this, Take-Two's regular annual net bookings were looking roughly in $3 billion ballpark and steadily rising - it took the acquisition of a major mobile developer to see them leap over $1 billion in the space of a single year.
So to achieve a goal of $8 billion, Take-Two would need to make significant acquisitions, or release nearly double the amount of games it historically has, or release at least one absolute behemoth of a game.
patch RDR2 already you f***s
Sorry. Only sold 53 million copies
Rookie numbers. Gotta hit 60 to get 60fps
Disappointing news tbh
I guess the years do fly but cmon man.
i mean this year almost over
RDR2 game of life
You can still boot that thing up and have ur mind blow by how all the mechanics and graphical details come together even just riding your horse around
The fact this game is going to be a step up even from that is too much to comprehend
