I understand how that post could be interpreted that way . I have said it was vague. Asking if english is my first language while saying I said the word everyone is just funny. On the same page you say "no one I talked to had anything bad to say about GTA V" when I am not even making definitive statements like that. cuz he initially he was saying it was my fault I interpreted the post that way as if he had made it entirely clear he was speaking for himself. Now he's calling it vague (which it was) so I guess he understands what I meant now

Actually the opposite imo. Game hit at launch, everyone loved it. But people switched up over time
The story was always kinda disappointing and the police were too intense imo but this site does too much by calling the game "mid". It's objectively at least a good game. Same with RDR2

In GTA IV...the museum mission, the law office mission

Maybe that mission where Trevor has to ride a motorcycle on the trainI liked the missions where you go to Grove Street, the jewelery heist, the one where you kidnap that guy out of the tower. Also liked one where you're mowing enemies down in a military base

doesn't mean it was just a minority. game still moved a billion. game isn't bad.It actually was a hot take in my experience. Most people loved the open world, the graphics (even though it was said back then that character models look kinda clayish), the return of customization and stats that were removed from GTA 4, the improved driving, the switching characters. The updates and addition of online didn't cause people to start praising the game. It's actually gone in the opposite direction since then, way more people are saying it's a mid game now than at launch
And a minority opinion is basically what a hot take is. An opinion that differs from the consensus

Yes in your experience. We’ve been through this we all have different experiences and that is okay .
When I said hot take I don’t mean it’s the minority or majority opinion. I mean people can hear the opinion without getting defensive. If I wanted to say it was the majority or minority opinion I would say that
Example : many people think Witcher 3 is overrated . To call it overrated wouldn’t be met with a huge defense. Even by those that love it they understand the sentiment

Literally every guy I know irl played that game and I’ve not once heard a mfer say he thought it was just ok especially when it first came out.
