the social media mechanic out of everything you could show about a new Grand Theft Auto in an opening trailer is baffling. Mind numbing. Hope Trailer 2 and gameplay changes my perspective but nothing feels natural about looking at in game phone seeing something happening on social media leading into a mission vs classic design style. Hope to be proven wrong but social media feels like getting gas of "you doing too much and are getting to the non fun parts of life"

Tbf every single Rockstar reveal trailer is more along the lines vague mood piece than anything else. GTA 5's left ppl asking questions about who the main character is (we didn't even know there were 3 of them)

Yes. I'm playing GTA IV for the first time and I don't mind it.
