yeah V was mid
IV and RDR2 were peak though
seems like it's a mid cycle this time around
I need the urban grittiness, physics, more grounded story of IV, mixed with the epicness and rpg elements of SA, with the technological prowess, albeit improved, of RDR2.

☝🏽
I just wanna be able to walk around the city in online and it's the same as SP
And some more in depth coop options. Wanna be able to have a squad all able to level a business at the same time
Yep nothing is going to happen until some time between early-mid 2025 maybe.
unfortunately
Just drop the game bro

I don't understand people who say V was mid while praising GTA IV. Have you played IV in a while? V is vastly superior if I just, like, mess around for ten minutes. The world is better. The missions are better. Free yourself from the idea that the technical limitations of the time means that "gritty" is better.
My uncle is VP of Rockstar Games. Just texted me and said “trailer dropping today at 4 PM EST 👀!”

Yes gameplay wise, V is mostly better with movement and s***. But the shooting/ragdoll physics in GTA IV were more satisfying and fun, the story was WAY better and the characters were better written. Also IV had a palpable dark, dirty criminal element to it. You felt like you were in an underworld f***ing with sociopaths. GTA V story was very cartoony. And Lester was annoying as s***. Idk.

its all subjective eh
i personally like san andreas than both of them

I had more fun simply pushing npcs around in 4 than I did with 5 as a whole

i like the driving and map in IV much more than V. the base missions are ok, but the dlc missions are well made with fun side content. liberty city feels real to me in IV, san andreas in V feels like a video game.

in 5 the world is better and the missions have higher peaks but 4 is way more consistent

The driving in IV is genuinely horrible to me lol

A game like GTA (any of them) but especially this one, assuming the leap over red dead 2 it will have, is something complicated on a scale most can't imagine. So many moving parts to address. Even with thousands of people, it just takes a long ass time to get these things done. But luckily they aren't like other devs at the mercy of any publisher or investors to hurry and ship an unfinished product. It'd be easy after all the success to just kick back and throw crap together but they continue to put their heads down, give a smidge of info every few years, then just drop the biggest games of all time once THEY feel like it's ready. Also not sure if true but I heard they eliminated or at least revamped their crunch process for the betterment of the employees. I'm cool with that.
I'm just ranting lol but that's really the case.

I don't like the 3 characters thing tbh. I wish they had just 1. Even with 6 coming, I'm kinda nervous but these 2 are supposed to be in a relationship so it should be focused.
A problem both had was there weren't many interiors. Hopefully in 6 that's addressed.
And yes v is amazing in several ways, like it's setting, IV really makes you believe you are this immigrant who just moved to New York (Liberty City)

I prefer 5 too. I never finished 4 tho so I can’t speak too much on it’s story

V is a masterpiece, so is IV. But I feel IV is kind of underrated when discussing "the best GTA game so far" so people tend to diminish V at the same time when comparing them - why, I don't know.
