Driving Was legit terrible in IV

I feel like a shift happened in the consensus of IV after V. I remember playing IV at launch and it felt like a disappointment after SA. No car customization, no tattoos, no haircuts, no character stats. All you could do was change Niko's clothes. I'm sure many other people were disappointed because the game felt like a step backwards after SA

V drops. Everyone loves it, it's considered a classic. I remember after and even before it released, people seemed happy that the series was shifting back to the colorful/goofy tone of SA compared to the gritty/serious tone of IV. But then eventually a shift occurs and people start hating on it. Not sure if it's because people hated Rockstar for focusing on Online rather than single player DLC, maybe it's because people just realized that it didn't need 3 characters. But during this shift of everyone starting to hate V, IV suddenly starts getting praise. Pretty much nobody considered IV the best in the series 2008-2013 but it's an opinion you'll see often now

There's also the edgelords who say the game is better than V just because "it's serious". And the contrarians who feel the need to stick up for the game because it got so much criticism for its limitations compared to SA and V

The marketing for VI might be the most hilarious thing ever. They know exactly that they don‘t even need to drop another trailer right now because the fanbase goes batshit crazy with every small (trolling) detail they‘re putting out

That‘s why I‘m not expecting another trailer until closer to release

The constant power sliding was like an action movie, and required proper control of throttle and brake. It made driving an interesting and engaging experience. The arcade controls of V are just so noobs can get from point a to point b without crying.

nah, i love the driving physics mostly because I was in a GTA IV clan and you HAD to be good at driving so it's stockholm syndrome....though i'd rather have that than GTA V's physics, they're a lil too cartoony for me
