Yeah as cool as it'd be as I mentioned above, it really is too big of a property business wise to shadow drop and risk it. Plus building up hype to release is always a big part of their marketing strategy. I could imagine the hysteria though if it dropped on a random evening. Nigga im leaving work early lol

Marketing won’t need all the money . I hope trailer shadow dropped but if no real clear gameplay I don’t care . Also the soul does feel gone they should have went to beginning f drill in Chicago . A dark story . Pissing on graves missions . Trapping cartel gd bd all of those bring back gang wars. S*** isn’t funny in reality anymore with so many smart phones and internet making people they are not . Online could have been modern times but actual gameplay past .

That’s my personal take and all founders left . Over focus on realism and pushing graphics when I liked a cartoon art style felt like playing a dope cartoon or movie. Now there is a level of uncanny valley to it

But in regards to the shadow drop thing, it's not necessarily about the budget or them being able to afford it. Like I mentioned, it's just too big and entity. Basically they want to the world pumped and excited I'm very sure when a new GTA comes out.

Its not about dark only its about making it more a rpg and less of an on rails movie. They made or allowed in time the online of V to be a RPG with many different ways to play it. GTA V and even IV were very on rails movie type games more so than San Andreas, Vice City or III. Bring some level of soul back to the games.

However now with a billion dollar game and gamers caring about graphics so much more than design or generative experiences other than online its in doubt
