Definitely has the best combat and stealth. There’s so much you can do with the tools they give you

Definitely, the stealth gadgets in particular are what stand out as the biggest improvement to me

I don’t mind the batmobile as much as some but I’m not crazy about it either

I like Asylum the most aswell. City is great too, Knight has a nice world and I appreciate it for what it was. But neither of the sequels gave me the same feeling as Asylum did.

It’s a feature that so many people clamored for years, and when it finally came, it was overwhelming for a lot of people lol. It doesn’t control bad at all, it’s just the least fun of the combat triangle. I do appreciate they tried something new though.

I definitely don’t care for it, and once you get the upgrades and all, navigation with Batman himself is much more efficient.

It definitely has my favorite atmosphere and art design of the series. It’s got the true Gothic Batman vibe

Knight has so many problems that keep it from being great IMO.

The plot goes all over the place. It starts of very strong with Scarecrow being this legitimate threat, no more being side fodder like Asylum. Then you get to the Ace Chemicals building and you meet the Arkham Knight...who doesn’t really have a purpose of being in the game.

I won’t spoil for people who haven’t played, but for someone who knows how Batman operates, he sends out drone tanks? Allowing Batman to fire away and not give a f*** what he blows up because they are all remote controlled? If the Arkham Knight HATES Batman, and everything he stands for, this makes ZERO sense. You could argue that this is just a gameplay thing, and I would let that slide, but considering who the Arkham Knight is, that doesn’t work. And it sucks even more because it’s painfully obvious who he is too.

There’s plenty more I dislike about Knight but that’s one of the big ones. The subplot of Knight is a whole different conversation.

i feel u the plot is the weakest in the trilogy the incorporation of tanks didn't feel right but the game was fun so i didn't mind. i'd say it's the weakest one in the trilogy but still good

Arguably the greatest superhero franchise and one of my favorite gaming series oat

Excellent blend of combo based fighting, stealth, detecting, platforming, and puzzle solving. It does it all without skipping a beat, and with a fun, densely woven story supported by incredible voice acting. Something to really appreciate. Post your favorite moments, thoughts, questions, criticisms, this thread is for everything Arkham.

These games just got better and better

Great games. A shame knight was a little disappointing. Nevertheless they changed gaming forever and raised the bar for superhero games

  • Apr 9, 2021

Love these games. The batmobile in knight was annoying as f*** tho.

  • Never played Knight, but I loved Asylum and City so much Was shocked to see people criticize the story of City on the internet years later, I thought it was great and the ending had me shook Hated how influential the combat system became though, Rocksteady weren't the first to do it but its wild how everyone copied it after them

I was playing an illegal copy on my Xbox 360 and I started panicking when this happened I heard Rocksteady added some anti-piracy measures to the game and thought my save file was f***ed. Felt so relieved when I saw Joker driving the Batmobile and realized it was just part of the game

Love the city in that game. Even tho it’s empty, it’s just like regular, normal Gotham instead of a prison city or a taken over riot city

The winter snowy setting was fire too

And it has the best looking combat IMO.

In the RS games, you punch and counter and then Batman returns to just standing normally (which i guess does show he isn’t even trying, like he’s an expert)

But I love in Origins how Batman stands in a combat pose when you’re waiting for attacks to counter

never understood the hate for arkham knight, all these games are hard. arkham city is prolly my favourite though

One of the greatest parts about Arkham asylum and city was the boss design and combat. The batmobile aspect f***ed that up a lil.

Think about new game + mr freeze fight coming immediatly off the rahz al ghoul fight

Or the bane fight from 1, or even the realization that joker was actually just clay face even though that boss was easy. Knight had none of that

And they made the collectibles reallllllllly tedious. Story and gameplay were still fire tho

Classic series. City is one of my favorite games ever.

Knight had the potential to be an all-time classic, open world Gotham City was amazing, but the lack of boss fights was a HUGE miss and they underutilized Scarecrow.

Knight is like an 8.5/10 that’s looked at as like 6 cause it sits next to 2 10s

  • Apr 10, 2021

Don’t forget we’re getting not only a new Batman in a new continuity but a suicide squad game that’s a sequel to Arkham knight

That cramped claustrophobic feeling of being inside the prison was great plus the combat was fire the scarecrow parts were absolutely bonkers

City was fire too just differentv
