Always hilarious when people who can’t relate to the street s*** tries to bash the lyrics instead of just saying they can’t relate.
I’ve also been in the old head boat not feeling most new artist. But Rod Wave isn’t the artist to use that take on. This man song like an old gospel artist.
Lol, I can’t relate to the street s*** but the pain is tangible in his music. It’s therapeutic. He’s a way better vocalist than his contemporaries.
It’s perfectly okay if you don’t like it though

Yup. Ok if u don’t like it. I’m not even a fan of his but I been listening to him more lately and it’s easy to tell something is different about him instead of chalking it up as generic.
mfers listen to 50 rappers at the same time saying the same old d****, money, b****es nonsense but wanna call Rod Wave's lyrics generic
im dead
Yeah I dont get the hate for this guy at all. I criticize him, but that's not hatred.
Yall keep saying he's generic but listen to kendrick, carti, earl, and a bunch of other rappers. Their lyrics arent special at all. There's only so many ways you can phrase something. It's about how you say it. Rod is clearly distinct. He's the most soulful artist right now. He sounds like a nigga who grew up in a black church and uses that talent for street tales. That hasn't been done before.
U listen to Playboi Carti and talking about generic lyrics lol
Carti makes interesting music. Rod wave doesn't. Carti's lyrics are part of a creative product, rod waves lyrics are a glaring flaw on a dated, uninspired product
