I don't care about Lil Nas X but lets not act like The Box isn't some s*** white people be laughing at on Tik Tok. I'm not saying that Roddy aint come up off struggle, I'm sure he did but I definitely don't hear that in his music so lets not categorise his music in such a way
I can't speak for everyone else, but Roddy stands out for me due to his melodies...I'm a sucker for melodies. Like on some 50 Cent Many Men type s***. His melodies on Ballin, Ricch Forever, and The Box go unmatched in the realm of street rappers. He's relatable too.
I can't put my finger on it, but I don't really care for Youngboy. He's believable, but his music just doesn't do it for me a lot of times. The same goes for a his clones too.
I haven't given NoCap and Quando Rondo a fair chance. I know they're technically better rappers probably, but Roddy is probably going to stand out because of his Nipsey connection and beautiful voice....no h***
