And you are basing investment advice on future, uncertain movement. The past does not predict the future.

The environment heavily influences ALL investments. There are unlimited environmental factors that could happen at any time that could cause the value of Rolex’s to go down. Just because it has never happened, does not mean it can not or will not.

Saying X has gone up forever, so it will continue to go up forever is not sound logic.

For a Rolex, asset security is quite literal. Anyone can come and steal that s*** 😂

I’d take the chance of gambling on an unprecedented disaster killing off a century old brand like rolex not happening

Even a war and pandemic couldn’t…

People in here really thinking some unforeseen disaster would curb Roley’s value

    It’s actually pretty far fetched

Do resellers add a mark up?

Even then their prices are going up 4% a year and only going up

With 10 years of sales data to draw from, the team at Bob’s Watches, an e-commerce retailer of pre-owned Rolexes and luxury watches, a***yzed how Rolex values have performed in the secondary market over the past decade compared to stocks, bonds, real estate, and gold. When the results came in, Rolex watches outperformed them all.

Intriguingly, the appreciation of Rolex watches since the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020 is nearly equal to the total price increase over the preceding five years.

Demand is driving that, of course, inflation as well—but inflation only accounts for maybe 20%,” Altieri says. “The vast majority is overwhelming demand. Supply has been constrained and demand just keeps surging globally

If you’re given the choice between owning land and a Rolex and you choose the Rolex you deserve to lose all your money tbh
