are they talking formation or lemonade?
regardless, the only thing i think that made a cultural impact from lemonade was the phrase Becky w the good hair tbh. and the cover. and something about a billion dollars?
im truly not trying to be facetious but i really don't feel like album had any intrinsic value outside it being beyonces new album at the time, and it being about jay z. and i guess that's not even intrinsic tbh.
Your lack of acedotal experiences attached to the album or you not feeling it’s impact means nothing..
Cultural impact for Formation.. it followed with Lemonade..
Even TIME goes into detail of its impact after a year after release

3 years later.. Harvard University
“The Lemonade Reader is in an interdisciplinary collection that explores the nuances of Beyoncé’s 2016 visual album, Lemonade. Essays and editorials present fresh, cutting-edge scholarship fuelled by contemporary thoughts on film, material culture, religion, and black feminism.”

Starts listing tangible receipts:
“I get what you mean but I’m saying EYE can’t recall!!
Mike should be the whole top3 beyonce should take number 4 tho but im not mad at her being number 1
This list is so lame and bad man lol. How can you make it so blatantly obvious your ignoring MJ on purpose and labels/artist are paying you for publicity
How is New Order-Perfect Kiss above Billie Jean(honestly, why are any of those videos above Billie Jean)

It’s not just about Jay, the album deals with many more aspect of love and the struggles that come with it. She explores redemption in the context of romantic relationships, but also in regard to how black women understand their own self-worth and at the same time depicting Black womanhood as a far-reaching community forged from shared experience. Lemonade shows how father figures (or a lack thereof) can shape a daughter’s knowledge of herself and the world around her.
There’s a reason the album still resonates so well for many of the same reasons Beyoncé’s Super Bowl 50 performance struck a nerve for a large part of the public.
Man I do not remember Formation being this big at all lmao
S***s all made up after the fact. Cultural impact of this video is minuscule compared to something like thriller
