Damn did i really just see Chappel Roan in the top 50

    Poptimism gotta relax

  • Drake unironically heavily benefited from poptimism as well, even his best albums were just getting 'decent-good' reviews on release, nothing by him was universally acclaimed upon release

You're technically correct from a historical point of view, but 2000 is now seen as the de-facto beginning of it, since people like to operate from decade to decade, the start of the "2000s" is now universally accepted as the start of the 21st century

TPAB was literally 2 places behind it
If that was the case, why wasn’t it higher on this list?

Also, RS were on Kanye's d*** from LR-TLOP so if it wasn't for the MAGA+ 2022, I guarantee they'd still be sucking him off

They even called 'TLOP' one of the most disappointing albums of all time despite a 4.5/5 on release. I assume they're now trying to retroactively pinpoint that album as the beginning of 'MAGA-ye' despite the evidence proving they were in love with it

Great album. 10/10. But not even her best or top 3. But it's fine, she has multiple 10/10 albums.

And I didn't read the thread but let me guess... people are mad because a mainstream woman is topping the list but not a man like the overrated Frank Ocean or the washed Kanye West.

Being washed now doesn't have anything to do with your past work. Did Kobe suddenly lose his 5 championships after tearing his Achilles and being ass for 3 years?

They can’t and they won’t. There’s nobody alive who can compete on her level, and especially considering how long she’s been doing it.

Like I get that she's overrated in some aspects like calling lemonade the greatest album this century, but as a performer she's untouchable

tbh I don't think Gnaw Their Tongues will be remembered that much. Black Tape on the other hand might be a different story.

hip hop as we now it won't exist. We will have chips in our heads that let's us rap the greatest lyrics in the style of a great rapper of the past in our head with beats that will rely on the electric signals our brain wants to hear to be stimulated. /musk
