What? She changed her whole sound after el mal querer
Me: In Motomami she wasnt biting latinos
You: She changed her sound after El mal querer
What u said didnt disprove what i said The 2 things can be true, yes he changed her sound, but also she wasnt biting
Not really equipped to get into that whole debate but I think Motomami is prob the best pop album of the 20s so far
it wasn’t even the best latin pop album of that year
Rosalia’s music from before she started larping as a puerto rican is a lot better, and for the music after you can find better latin music made by actual latinos

That's cause she was making better music before dumbing it down to make reggaeton
Motomami is fine but el mal querer is just a different level of artistry and she had to take it down a peg for mainstream success
Cause no one is gonna party to flamenco, it's just not marketable.

There was literally no basis for that though. There was a point in time where she was only making gorgeous movie soundtracks inspired by Spanish history and culture. Then without warning she pivoted to going for Latin hits with a different market. It was just weird and if your introduction to her was Motomami or it’s rollout you probably won’t grasp it

lets take a moment to appreciate what Rosalia thought she was doing on the motomami intro

I been listening to her since 2016, i know she changed her sound and how she came up
Its just simple, she just went commercial. Im just defending that she wasnt biting because she wasnt.
Unfortunately
well, you have the gipsy community for that, they love it, but the won't fill stadiums.
She always liked different genres anyway, flamenco, pop, rap, r&b, reggaeton,... And reggaeton has a huge influence in Spain, you are going to hear it everywhere, national artists included obviously.

Yeah niggas shouldnt be surprised that the most popular gente in a country (in this case, reggaeton with Spain) is influencing the artist in some ways
One day this site is gonna hop off the “commercial = bad/worse” train
People will complain about anything bro
"super talented artists decides to start making more accessible music to reach a greater audiance make more money for herself and her family"
weirdos on the internet: what a sellout
how tf do you guys know that the music she's making now not what she wanted to do in the first place. Yes she was a great flamenco artist but what if her goal from jump was to ultimately become a pop star?
lot's of people just do something in the start that's a foundation to take them to where they actually want to go. Any why do you want people to just "stay" where they are and not try or do anything else. like wtf, people's logic amaze me

i feel like y’all are doing a lot of mental gymnastics about why a few people aren’t positive to her newer music

yeah i literally just said her new sound is s***ty and comes off fake and people are saying i don’t want her to succeed and popularity is bad
When Motomami dropped I thought “there’s no way she outdoes El Mal Querer.” How f***ing wrong I was
Her version of Blinding Lights is f***ing amazing too, that outro
