Nero 92seeing the hate for Rosalia from certain latinos is funny to me. I mean sure it's valid, she's not latino and white as hell but I wouldn't call her a cultural appropriator either. She's collaborating with the artists influencing her music but whatever, that's all up for debate.
the part that annoys me is just like people who criticize her but then turn a blind eye to Arca, J Balvin or Bad Gyal who are more blatant with their appropriation. Bad Gyal who I love and actually think is one of the best artists out is also spaniard & does a fake carribean accent but because her music is a hit only in hipster latino circles she's still cool to listen to. Rosalia's hype is bubbling so we have to hate her and call her a cultural appropriator.
but idk in general like who gives a s***. most latinos do not care whether an artist making spanish music is latino or not and Rosalia is probably the least offensive spanish colonizer making latino music atm
I ain’t Latino but if she pay respect to everybody who influenced her then it don’t really matter, it’s like Eminem

Sep 13, 2022Learning Spanish and enjoying this album at the same time. Still very early beginner stages but I enjoy picking up random words of an album I already enjoy without understanding anything

I already said most brown or black latinos don't care who's making their music as long as they speak spanish and I'm also literally latino. I don't care that Arca is making her own gentrified version of a genre started by latinos who look nothing like her pale white ass, I just think the fact that she's making it without collaborating with any latino artists is worse than whatever Rosalia is doing.

I'm latino, been to DR and PR plenty of times. Pretending like there's no racism within latino communities is pure ignorance. Telling me the same damn islands that will question whether you're latino or not if you look Black doesn't have a race issue.
DR tried to white wash it's own damn people. None of these islands are the racially ambigous uptopias ya'll make it out to be.

Selling 3 tix to the 9/18 (sunday) show at Radio City, 2 together in ORCH 2 Row C (two seats off aisle) and one alone in ORCH 1 Row SS (aisle). All insanely close. The solo ticket was my girlfriend’s, I wasn’t originally gonna be in town for the show - then we bought the C row seats together but are trying to buy a new pair to be near our friends who ended up buying too. HMU ❤️🏍
