Royce need to get out his damn feelings. Why is he taking this so personal anyway when it’s not even about him?

    Z actually doing something good.

Z gotta learn to do something good the right way. I don’t think it’s the content that Royce is taking personally it’s the tone. Dude was talking spicy as hell, that’s not journalism. This is what happens when tweet threads replace articles and a writer gets too careless and acts on emotion and speaks out of pocket to an old school dude from Detroit. If dude was more professional and humble it wouldn’t have been like this. “Who else is gonna tarnish their reputation?” Was just way too disrespectful

True but this is crazy. I hope he really just lets it die but knowing these “journalist” types I wouldn’t be surprised if he doubles down and plays victim, “I’m just reporting!!!” and some people will probably rock with him on that saying threatening journalists ain’t cool. But dude went beyond journalism, a tweet isn’t an article and the language he used wasn’t objective, it was aggressive and emotional. He took it to this place I better not hear him crying

Being professional and humble when discussing artists getting scammed? Yeah nah. Royce has an obligation to disown or righthfukky defend the business he stands behind, not threaten someone for exposing a scam

Z is the biggest cornball in the world but he looking out for artist end of the day.

This is really a "defend someone cuz he black" situation I see in the thread

you paying an artist (heard it not cheap)to be on a 30 track mixtape? and that rapper no rapping on the project? is that not a scam?

imagine your track being number 30 and you paid 450 to be on a mixtape

  • Sep 30, 2020

I used to be a fan of royce but he's been mad annoying on social media for a while now. This response is some clown s***. You tried to scam people or at least put your name on something without checking it for a quick check and got called out for it. It's that easy. He's not above critic just cause he's a washed up rapper. His legacy is D12 tier.

That last album was boring af too compared to layers and book of ryan. I listened to it once and had no urge to go back to any of these songs.

  • Sep 30, 2020

I don't think any of the rappers scamming here should be laughed at, I understand that this is a difficult time to be a musician where you can't tour, and I'm sure they need the money. Considering the features on Royce's last album, he could easily have lost money on making it. If anything, it's indicative to how little of the profits in the music industry go to the artists.

With that said this is extremely f***ed up scam, preying on people who are gullible and may have spent a large percentage of their income on this 'opportunity'

  • Sep 30, 2020

This s*** sucks because regardless of the back and forth, the victims are the ppl being scammed who either never get their verse or feature or get put on this “tape” that no one ever hears or gets promoted anywhere. Idk if it’s the artist or the ppl who run their accounts cus it’s a few people now but it sucks cus these people are being completely manipulated under the guise of the excitement of the artist messaging you back and wanting to work

Also the fact that they seem to just drop the project and leave it like that. They showed one from Benny the Butcher where each track averaged like 60 plays lol they don’t tweet the link out or anything

Royce has to be one of the oldest musicians who even knows who Fantano is let alone cares about his opinions and he doesn't even like his music

Y’all are moving the goal posts talking about “it doesn’t tarnish the artists legacy.” Who gives a f***? The conversation is about if these established artists are scamming people. If so, they are pieces of s***

Being professional and humble is always how a journalist should be if they wanna report, honestly this ain’t trump and corona virus we’re talking about it’s some producers who have 1,000 to spend on a placement getting scammed. You can shine a light on it in an article or tweet that is written in a journalistic tone. He doesn’t have to be respectful but different people will react differently to outright disrespect. Dude wouldn’t speak that way in front of Royce. Dude was excited and got caught up in the moment and in the twitter format and tweeted with an energy he would never ever have in the mans face. When you have that energy you gotta deal with what comes with it

Royce ain’t in the right as far as the scamming but if you wanna talk to certain people certain ways, they gonna react certain ways. I’m not the type to defend a threat at all but does this hip hop journalist not know much about Detroit? You just don’t talk like that, horrible “journalism” and dude will hopefully learn a lesson from this

I presume I'm more familiar with Royce's career than most here. It's not much of a legacy!

what a s***ty thing to say. imagine someone smearing your career and reputation then saying "hey its not like you're bill gates its not much of a legacy!"

that being said these artists are knowingly scamming mf's
