Chris Tucker’s charisma in those first two Rush Hours was S tier. Idk how much of his lines were improv but he carried the comedy while Chan doing his own stunts carried the action scenes. On top of that their chemistry together was also great. One of those Hollywood pairings where everything just aligned perfectly

smith is used to being a action star so the conditioning is there whereas tucker has only been in 2 movies the past decade. that's why unless he plans on getting fit, a lax role like chief of LAPD makes more sense and comes full circle for his character

ive heard jackie doesnt like american productions because of bad editing and them never letting him do his own stunts. he's had a few efforts the past few years and even has his own team, so if they hurry up and find the right choreographer i'm confident this can be good. my main concern is hoping they recruit the best talent to update the comedy right and pen an exciting story
