all the openers and events he plays at are fire if you can make it to any of his EU/UK stops would be worth it as much for that as for his set 🫡🔥
@proper bloodzboi put me onto this digi-folk playlist, rly good stuff

bod was like "no one makes pix behind berghain" and whipped out a huge flashlight LMAO
on way to Berghain they were also just going about their business picking random locks on bridge of Warschauer 😂 such a character. they rly want a good interview also so that's already for sure gonna happen 2024
bod, organ tapes, evanora all p much confirmed for next year
first grabbed my attention by collaborating with claire rousay and made a fire ambient mix on NTS, then saw he's a rym user himself lol, left a cute thank you note on his own page for ppl listening to his music
thought no brainer to approach for interview and he was super happy to do it, chatted for 4 hours and now we're pals pretty much. still chatting w him and he's already invited me onto his NTS to do my own mix, but I'm not quite ready for that platform yet.
honestly didn't know before the interview how much of an OG he is in the Chinese club / underground experimental scene. met a lot of Chinese diaspora artist now who've known him for 10+ years. so funny how I barely cared about China in 2022 also lol
Praise Xi
revisiting yy02, still one of the best plugg tapes this year
just saw him live a second time in Amsterdam past weekend during BbyEco club night w Himera, got some footage from that in my story highlights on insta for anyone interested. was very emotional
also uploaded a clip from his ambient DJ set in maybe my new favorite venue kwia in Berlin
already heard it it's lit ! prod. evilgiane & 4evr

Powerful
454 already one of my favorite artists ever
I wonder how he came across bloodz music though
I know dude has been active and working hard for a long ass time and is rising but legit if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have ever heard of him
But that's just me and my view plus I know stuff can be happening behind the scenes for a long time before it ever comes to the light

they both have NTS residencies maybe he saw him there - also he was already teasing a surf gang tape / dropped a single w harto falion (prod evilgiane & tripdixon)
and another single w jackzebra prod. 4evr, remghost & harrsion
honestly bb is mad tapped in w soundcloud underground and worked w tons of legends from scenes all over the world, couple Lucki producers for his yy02 tape also, experimental plugg soundcloud artists find each other sooner or later tbh

NTS residences just exist digitally in my head for some reason but that makes perfect sense
Thank you for more background on his music and who dude has worked with as well
I didn't get to it when you first made this thread but I got the project with the Yeezus inspired covered stashed near the top of my list to get to when I'm next able to listen to music regularly

One of, don't know if I could pick just one artist right now but he's way up there for sure
Do you have a link to where Earl said that?
The support and love
I'm definitely right there with him too, LOVE all three Fast Traxs actually, the first two are so slept on
I don't know if you saw my other post in your interviews thread but in short thank you so much for being so excited and passionate about hip hop in general and what's developing right now, really bothers me to see how quick people are to trash the genre and leave it behind after a few years or a certain age
And that love for bloodz sheesh, I gotta get to it fr
@op just ran the yy02 project and it was fire
365 is the only project I can find besides that though unless you're counting comps
365 is his second project, right?
Went to Year0001 page and couldn't find the first project there either

all his projects on different labels and most of his stuff is self-released
his album w goat ambient artists claire rousay and more eaze "a crying poem" is on orange milk, he got at least 2 tracks finished for a new tape w them also
orangemilkrecords.bandcamp.com/album/a-crying-poem
otherwise he got a mini EP w big fave of mine ssaliva
soundcloud.com/bloodzboi4life/sets/itsme
and tons of singles on streaming and even more on soundcloud, a lot of one-off collabs w a very wide range of producers dabbling in all kinds of genres. can put you together some personal faves but honestly all of it is pretty fire
this pandemic live performance is a rly good primer also for his more singy tracks (multiple tracks from upcoming catsoup collab for TeamSesh)

and yo thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 it's a bit funny that so far I haven't done too many hiphop interviews, tbh it also wasn't my primary obsession anymore the past years, that said it will forever be my first love, what got me excited about music and is super important to me
I've been working for ages on a radio mix for bloodz nts show mixing my old love rap w my current primary obsessions club and experimental. need to finally get around to refine my mixing and record it

who r the other goat ambient artists?
hmm in terms of currently active Malibu aka DJ Lostboi aka belmont girl a big 1 and she would bring in many underground legends to her NTS show United in Flames
youtube.com/@belmontgirl
bod 包家巷 some of my favorite ambient lately, also Drumloop.. Triad God legend. Space Afrika, Klein.. Martyna Basta, Perila, Ulla, Nala Sinephro, early Yves Tumor, new Laurel Halo and Raw Silk Uncut Wood. Grouper, Nicolas Jaar. def many more
first thing I listened to by bloodz is an ambient mix btw and already knew from that he's a real music head

also RIP Sakamoto, async def 1 of my fave ambient records and Alva Noto collabs all amazing
also when you define a broader scope of experimental music ambient there's so much more, like stuff in this set. pretty legendary
