La Flama BlancaYou’d have to think a shooter would be less likely to attack a school with an armed cop on duty. You’d also have to assume both red and blue would support this, unless im missing something.
Everyone knows “banning firearms” is a pointless argument, considering it won’t happen right now. Why not start somewhere where both sides can agree? Isn’t some action better than no action?
An armed cop being on site won't deter, especially with how reckless kids are. A proactive response with cops unfortunately will most likely lead to further discrimination and targetting, especially considering how little training I imagine would actually be provided.
I don't have a solution or a suggestion but I don't think a cop would be great
It doesn't help that these kids seemingly want to do damage with the intent of going out and not facing any consequences besides death

not too shocking. Tennessee has some of the MOST lax gun acquisition laws if im not mistaken, and have made open carry (i think) super easy as well within the past couple years

There is a reason why mass murderers targets spots where there is no threat at all. As much as I hate the idea of protecting kids with MORE guns but that's the most sensible solution to stop murders murdering children in school.
