that's a knee-jerk reaction op. you can still instill social skills by placing children in office environments and having them work and contribute to society while developing cognitive abilities.

when you think about it, education is wasted on the youth who hate school and are too immature to show the seriousness and commitment necessary for learning.

so if you eradicate schools for children and start training them with more hands on experience in various industries you could fully integrate different generations for other tasks while lessening the financial and emotional stress and work load of adults

maybe then the society can transition towards a different time frame of education, where you work from the ages 0-20, go to school from 20-30, pursue creative passions and interest from 30-50 while procreating to continue the worker supply chain, and then re-enter the work force from 50-100 as supervisors for the infant employees

I don’t think anybody except high school sophomores on KTT posting from inside the locker they just got shoved into are making the argument to eradicate schools.

Like literally no sensible person thinks this. People want to reform education, not get rid of it

  • Mar 26, 2021

    I agree op

I also think we shouldn’t eradicate food and water either. Maybe I’m in the minority on that one though

Yeah dawg, none of us go outside or speak to anyone because we haven't heard this bewildering take that schools should be eradicated

Why don't you do everyone a favor and post the sources actually debating this since you're the op

This is interesting, definitely makes you think, even if you feel strongly against eradicating how the schooling system is currently run.

Could definitely improve human capital to being more productive and I like how it creates a sense of camaraderie among age groups

I mean I actually wouldn’t say I was totally homeschooled, my classes were online (so basically like now but without zoom). Honestly it’s a hit or miss and it really depends. I had more freedom with my schedule and I wasn’t totally isolated (I had a bunch of friends), but you definitely get lazier and IMO it’s harder to learn especially in online courses. Honestly it’s the same thing that’s happening now but for a lot of my years.

no one is trying to abolish schools lol ppl just want to fix the trash ass american education system

And how would you go about fixing it?

I understand the people who want to eradicate schools also had a similar notion, although they would now refer to that period of thinking as naivety
