Scientists think stars pass through our solar system every so often. No idea how often.

The most recent was the Scholz star ~50,000-70,000 years ago. Scientists think, at its closest it was 52,000 astronomical units away. An astronomical unit or 'AU' is the distance between the Earth and our Sun.

At its closest the Scholz star was 4,833,702,000,000 miles away, or roughly 0.82 light years away.

Also, the Gliese 710 star is expected to only be 14,000 AUs away at its closest to us. That's 1,301,381,000,000 miles, or roughly 0.22 light years away. This won't happen for another 1.2 million years though.

    Scientist didn't say there's 36 alien civilizations

He came up with a formula that roughly estimates how many habitats have been able to sustain life for extreme lengths of time. It's a pretty cool calculation but the author themselves doesn't think it's accurate, they specifically say this is simply the most accurate formula they can come up with now and hopefully it will be improved upon over time as we learn more about the building blocks of life.

you think when we die we will wake up in a new body on some random planet? and have an entire new world to get adjusted to? maybe better, maybe way worse? reincarnation but not exclusive to earth?
