Picked up Beowulf at Barnes and noble this week and loving it. As a first generation Irish American he has always loomed large for me. His poetry collections of course were my gateway. One of the few writers who can be so incredibly deep and literary while also being so accessible at the same time.
Anyone here a fan?

I've kinda avoided classic epic poems/lyrical works - I read some in school but I want to go back. I'm planning on reading a good bit of them this year (in part bc of Nolan's Odyssey).
Heaney is the version of Beowulf I picked up to read that eventually. (I am knee deep in the Iliad right now).
