Lucki, Veeze, maybe Face but they wont be cool to niggas the moment they start getting real mainstream love like NBA commercials playing their music and s*** lol

Dlow will have a long career but it will be like Ross or Jeezy where they never were in the big 3 but always considered heavyweights when they were at their peaks

Lazerdim unironically could be a factor but i can already tell he got Wayne syndrome of random music creation with no focused concept or beat style and a horrible team lmao

His marketing was eclipsed by the Drake, Kendrick s***. Niggas didnt even know he had an album coming out, outside of the niggas making fun of him for his s*** being eclipsed by the beef.

Also he pushed his s*** back a few times.

    Unfortunate untimely events.

Lil Baby had the strongest opportunity back in 2020-2021 to be the next rap superstar but his album from 2022 was so derivative and bland that many people moved past him outside of features. Still, he has the best selling rap album of this decade.

Baby Keem was promising too but he ended up getting the "Kendrick Jr." treatment as soon as Family Ties dropped which stunted his career.

Gunna's capable of making hits but his albums aren't distinctive enough.

Carti has the strongest cult following and one of the best catalogs but he's not much of a hitmaker or a rapper for that matter.

Jack Harlow is a strong hitmaker but his albums ain't s*** for the most part. Dude is a worse version of Drake in every way lol.

Doja is still very promising. She did "flop"(outside the singles) with her last album but she still at least tried to make a rap album so she wouldn't get pigeonholed as pop. She's still one of the biggest hitmakers in rap, puts on strong performances, and has a lot of crossover appeal. She just hasn't been much of rapper yet so she's sort of like the female Post Malone in that sense.

Megan is more of a celebrity than an artist and her albums do moderate numbers that are heavily fanbase driven.

Ice Spice is a meme and a fad and she was never truly on to begin with outside of memes and features with bigger artists.

SexyRedd is a fad too but she's far more capable of making organic hits on her own that get played outside than Ice Spice.

JID is one of the best rappers of this decade but he's a bit capped in terms of commercial success. I can see him having moderate success like Wale last decade though.

The Rage/Opium wave(Ken, Destroy, Yeat, Osama, etc.) has its cult following but they have a limited audience and don't make actual hits.

The Drill wave is similar to the Opium wave with the exception being that Drill beats fit in with the popular sound more so you have more Drill rappers like Lil Tjay who merge their sound with Trap and R&B enough to appeal to more rap fans. They're still not accessible for the wider public though. Pop Smoke came the closest to crossover appeal but he's gone.

DaBaby and Roddy Rich are done. Roddy was a one album(maybe even hit) wonder who thrived in the pandemic but got left in the pandemic as soon as he dropped his next album. DaBaby was falling off even before the Rollout Loud thing but that incident capped him even more. Now, all they can do is tour.

Rod Wave has decent success and a loyal fanbase but he's more of a crooner than a rapper.

YoungBoy has the 2nd strongest cult following after Carti but he fell off and isn't as hot as he used to be. Youngboy is one of the strongest cases of "quantity over quality" I've ever seen. He feeds his fans alright but the majority he puts out is mid and bland. He's also not taken seriously enough by people outside his fanbase.

21 Savage has decent success and more commercial appeal than many but he seems to have no real fanbase and he's heavily tied to his features or people he collabs with. He dropped a solid album this year but nobody talks about it and I think it's because 21 isn't really a compelling artist on his own.

Central Cee has amazing European success but still hasn't truly crossed over to the U.S. enough to be in the convo.

Polo G and Moneybagg Yo both got left in 2021.

Lil Durk is a very stable success rate and has a decent run of features like Lil Baby. He's not a bad rapper either. I think he's pretty capped in terms crossover appeal but I think he's on the right track.

Overall, none of these niggas are going to have a "Big 3" level run. But some of them have solid careers for 2020's standards.

The gap between 21’s consistently huge numbers and lack of any fanbase whatsoever is interesting. He represents nothing.

There is no 2020 rap stars

No one wants to be at that level. No one is tryna be a huge artist

Feel like these kids are all just tryna get rich quick and they fizzle out fast cus they aren’t honing the craft of hip-hop

Yes, hip-hop is more “accessible” than any other genre, but it’s also the hardest to stay relevant in.

And clearly, all these new dudes aren’t lasting and falling off faster then ever before

It shouldn’t have took you until Big Sean’s 2024 album to realize 2010’s rappers haven’t transitioned well into the 2020’s
