definitely not why. there’s plenty of people who support capitalism on here, but this guy in particular made it his entire identity to the point where the only two logical explanations for his behavior are he’s either a paid shill (which he’s denied) or he’s just a massive troll. either one is a ticket out of here. i warned him to tone it down with the shilling/trolling on here & all he did was change his name to something equally as shillish/trollish. every thread he’s in, he gets called out for being an obvious shill.
he wasn’t banned for his political views, but his behavior in presenting them promoted the spread of misinformation and clear data manipulation whenever he posted.

if capitalism wasn’t in place, entrepreneurs wouldn’t need to invest in the first place for vaccine research to be done.. that’s kinda the whole point

funding wouldn’t be an issue so your question is irrelevant.. i know it’s difficult to imagine when you’re so used to a capitalist system, but not every system is centered around the accumulation of wealth.

Welp, if you're really promoting communism as a better system, then my input will stop here. You should probably do some study on history and how capitalism has far surpassed communism, and that communism sets everyone up for a life without opportunity to succeed.

i haven’t done enough reading on communism to call myself a communist specifically, but i’ve done enough to know i’d prefer that to the current capitalist system
you should read up on it too & purge yourself of the capitalist propaganda you’ve been indoctrinated with

I read into Marx' philosophy and actually agreed with some statements a lot, and hate when people bash others as Marxists. But on a whole I just can't agree with a modern society that would replicate this.
However my main inspiration is Milton Friedman, he's got plenty of youtube videos online if you wanna hear the other side. He's a full on libertarian who believes in the free market, and gives really good viewpoints.

most people i’ve interacted with who speak fondly of communism identify as Marxist-Leninist-Maoists. they always stress how a lot of Marx’s ideas don’t really work too well, so i can understand why you’d disagree with just Orthodox Marxism
i have an old roommate who’s a hardcore libertarian & we s*** talk each other’s politics all the time, so i know the libertarian viewpoint pretty well by now lol. i’m not a huge fan of the way that the entire ideology boils down to “your property >> other people’s lives” though

and im not sure what your confusion about the "alternative" is ... do you think corporations are responsible for your public education or universal healthcare in europe? societies as a whole build those things without profit in mind, and the same should've been done for the vaccine.

It's been a minute since I read about Marx so I don't know enough to comment, but I remember enjoying how he came to his viewpoint in a structured and conceptual way. I think the main problem is how it doesn't work in practice and that people are inherently greedy.

That must have been pretty fun lol. Hardcore libertarianism is pretty extreme, but since I started researching Friedman's thoughts, it started to make a lot of sense to me.
