yeah its gotten pretty bad ngl. like thread wasn't expected to rack pages but i've noticed its pretty hard for some really good artists to have a lot of talk here. its relatively easy for a thread like this to freefall without those who would have cared catching it in time

some critically acclaimed releases sometimes don't even have threads at all

and yeah dudes streak is crazy

don't be discouraged KTT ain't as in tune with what's going on as you'd think. CS Armstong, duendita, and other artists don't really get a lot of talk here but people will make threads about "R&B is falling off"

ik its not gonna do trav numbers but swt's last project put him on the map i thought. he's had huge features & cosigns since then too like idk this kind of thing never bothered me really but lately the community feels SO detached from actual releases its insane. the weird part is 80% of the site is dying for some new frank or something meanwhile we have artists dropping pure heat every week with little to no discussion. idk

maybe its my bad for having the perception that this place is primarily a music forum. or maybe its just changed, i guess its really just another place on the internet to get memes off atp except they're just music related for the most part

idk when it happened but KTT definitely split from caring as much about releases and actually keeping in touch with whats going on past the regular layer of artists we always talk about

its crazy cus I was actually put on to serpent on KTT in 2018 by a user (forgot his name idk if hes still here) who made a mega thread of like 50 underrated albums around mid-late 2018. Awesome thread and got put on to a lot of s***. But nah s*** like that dont happen much anymore we just debate same topics lol. Cool threads here and there but they freefall quick if the right users aren't online

like the forum kinda shifted to being reactionary to the industry rather than being on top of releases and putting people on early

maybe im just in a cranky mood i mean ktt2 put me onto this whole flint scene, rxpapi/neph, 454, bunch of florida artists, blackstarkids, few memphis artists just within the past few months so its still some posters in touch but yea feels way more unbalanced than ever just a creepy aura of people waiting for some messy negative drama to react to. anyways

Oh man listened to Deacon when it came out. Best believe i had Same Size Shoe on repeat blasting in room, singing along and idgaf what my neighbour thought. This Album is amazing. Even made me love soil too. I didn't like before, maybe because my ears weren't ready. This man is a villain of RnB/ArtPop. Like a Final Fantasy villian making Love songs. I love it. People need to check him out more.
