A great take on guy going out of retirement to do the last score trope and even Ben Kingsley's pompous performance as Don Logan.
Also, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, and James Fox? British goats
    Great opening song

Recommended for all crime/gangster film nerds out there

Shut up, c***. You louse. You got some f***in' neck ain't you. Retired? F*** off, you're revolting. Look at your suntan, it's leather, it's like leather man, your skin. We could make a f***ing suitcase out of you. Like a crocodile, fat crocodile, fat b******. You look like f***ing Idi Amin, you know what I mean? Stay here? You should be ashamed of yourself. Who do you think you are? King of the castle? Cock of the walk?

    He gut-punches Gal

What you think this is the wheel of fortune? You think you can make your dough and f*** off? Leave the table? Thanks Don, see you Don, off to sunny Spain now Don, f*** off Don. Lying in your pool like a fat blob laughing at me, you think I'm gonna have that? You really think I'm gonna have that, ya ponce. All right, I'll make it easy for you. God knows you're f***ing trying. Are you gonna do the job? It's not a difficult question, are you gonna do the job, yes or no?

  • Great film and has to be one of the strongest debuts this century so far. I think Ben Kingsley’s best performance is in Death and the Maiden though

Nah ima definitely check cus I like films like The Hit which is said to sorta be an influence on this. I also like Gangster No. 1

But part of what made QT’s dialogue unique was the pop culture reference, wouldn’t say it’s unnecessary, it made it realistic hearing two Gangsters have a regular ass conversation like me and you would about McDonalds

What makes him self indulgent tho?
