seems like they passed the Kaneko torch to DOI and put full trust in him, because these are easily his best new designs ever

honestly it's a shame Kaneko has seemed to just have kind of retired from the series, but it definitely is in good hands. Doi is absolutely proving his worthiness with this one

Yeah Japanese people aren't really keen on announcing when they're just done because it can be seen as a sign of weakness I guess, so they just slowly integrate someone else to replace them, I'll miss Kaneko but hes done his job. Tens of thousands of legendary pieces of art from him and one of the best JRPGs of all time aesthetically under his belt.

This is really shaping up to be a magnum opus for the series in terms of making something as ambitious as Nocturne was. I was so tapped in to the trailer to catch every little detail, this is going to be something special especially for hardcore fans of the series
