they don't have the 2.5x multiplier like they did in the previous games. seeing that the multiplier is around 1.6 or 1.8 now. always kinda felt like the damage was kinda lacking but didn't do the math

pretty sure they're just good for mp conservation in the early game & if you wanna do more damage with the critical magatsuhi skill.

That’s exactly what I have been doing with them actually. Didnt know the multiplier was that low tho

yeah, i was doing the same, but assumed it was just better than just using a skill twice lol. was an exaggeration to say they're useless, but the main draw is the huge damage increase. now that that's gone, i'd just rather spam that skill twice (even more so for the press turns).

you also get charge/concentrate gems now as well, so might as well just use those, especially if you have the miracle where demons can use your items.

Good idea to wait for PS4/PS5 port or is the switch version running good enough?

The switch version runs fine imo. The biggest/most noticeable issue is the demons move at like 5 frames per second if you are away from them. If you are one of those people that get hunged up on fps I hear a lot of complains about that. I personally don't mind it though. Who knows when/if the ports are happening. February at the earliest according to that one pc leak.

even then, feel like there's no way it'd only be three months of exclusivity. who knows though.

true ending completed

final boss was a complete pushover, especially since you have to beat a superboss (shiva) to get that specific ending. fight was really dope though. everything looked great and music was solid. still think the yhvh fight in 4a was the best final boss.

the actual ending itself was really cool too. wasn't sure what to expect, since the destroy the throne one was kinda lame because nothing really comes from it lol

Good way to bring in Dagda DLC which I feel is inevitable because $$$, honestly they could milk DLC for this for at least a year and I wouldn't be upset at all.

Not gonna cap it was top 2 for me before V dropped might be replaying it again soon cause V made me appreciate the older games in a new light

Strange Journey, imo the absolute peak of the series, at least the OG. Best law and chaos reps and best character development with a lot of focus on the story being good, the gameplay can be taxing but it has a rewarding feeling. Then I’d say Nocturne or V, but IVA got a weird place in my heart lol. It’s overhated for sure
