Wild thread but back on topic

I think it's s***ty when men act like they're oppressed. All of my friends from high school love speaking up about men's suicide rates on social media and advocating for men's mental health without ever acknowledging their own privilege as a man and speaking up for women.

Talking about men's issues always has this 'we're men and we're told we're not allowed to speak up' spin to it and that in itself is toxic

Bruh you are either intentionally ignoring the things that we are saying or have some kind of emotional barrier to exploring this topic. No one said that women are incapable of being douchey but women do not have the same gendered motivations as men to act that way. Have you ever seen a women on yahoo or reddit asking how to grow 3-4 inches taller? Ever?

I am there for my boys and they know that, I’ve cried in front of my boys, my boys have cried in front of me, pretty much what I’m saying or tried to say, is be vulnerable to those you’re close to. I shame them when they show vulnerability to people they’re not close to.

It's good that y'all close with each other like that. Idk how to feel about you 'shaming' them for being vulnerable to others but I imagine it's not that big of a deal and you're just saying something like " U shoulda came to me and now X person bro you know I always got your back."

Shame is a p powerful word so yeah maybe we/you are not using it correctly in this specific case.

Money itself isn't natural but the implications of having more money equate to more protection, freedom, safety and status in society are app natural things. While it's not natural to want money, it's 100% natural to want the things associated with money.

Your last point “Have you ever... 3-4 inches taller...” you’re using that as foundation to prove toxic masculinity, but I can guarantee you women have searched “how to get a bigger ass” “how to get bigger b****” and things of that nature. Which plays into dudes point that toxic behavior runs in all and it isn’t toxic masculinity, it’s just being toxic if you wanna take it there.
