  • Like, our system is so f***ed up, one side wants to be a fascist white supremacy theocracy dictatorship, while the other side is filled with corporate neolibs who fight with progressives

Like honestly, america should just stop existing

Like Oregon and Washington and California can become one county

The South can go back to being the csa(I imagine Virginia won’t join this time around now)

New England can be a county

Like, instead I compromising and s***, let’s just stop being one country

This arguably makes sense depending on what you want to argue in favor of. But just because of sociopolitical divides? Nah. You can't even say that everyone in these individual states are of a homogeneous political ideology. What's the point of splitting off a state like KY when not everyone in KY is a backwards conservative, just like not everyone in CA is a liberal Democrat? Why is that fair to the minority groups in those states, to now be stuck in a place that is no longer under an obligation to even PRETEND to represent their interests?

Please correct me if I'm missing something

just need better representation in government, and abolish lobbying and the two party system

  • Mar 16, 2021

    Yea sure go for it

Doesn't sound like it'd be too hard

  • Mar 16, 2021

No because inevitably one of these little nations would end up trying to conquer another one. Until eventually the conquering would end by one government controlling all the land again.. It would be a mess

Nah, even though Europe is split into smaller countries they still have a governing entity and the European Union. There’s no need to split America. States already set their own rules for the most part

abolishing two party system will be near impossible. You would be asking the two parties to vote against their own interest lol.

this would create a breeding ground for warfare, not to mention citizens would face the heaviest brunt. Also, who do you think is actually going to inherit the military? You're not gonna like this answer!

and calling for a return of the CSA doesn't help your argument in the slightest either

The thing is, each state/region is incredibly diverse from one another, someone from California would have a culture shock in Idaho, for example

Plus, our system is set up to systemically represent red states with lower economic might and low populations (through gerrymandering, the electoral college, 2 senators per state)

Well I’m not advocating for the csa, hell no

But if the racist politicians want a utopia, just give it to them and stop f***ing up everyone else

    Short answer: Not very good.

Long answer: read The Red Hangover: Legacies of Twentieth-Century Communism.

I mean, like I’m trying to come up with optimal solutions

Like the GQP are trying to turn America in a theocratic autocracy

Why don’t we just appease them and give them the South/flyover states

  • Cudderwalks

    Stop

It is true, for every 1 dollar they give in taxes, Kentucky gets $4 back in federal aid

Yet they continue to vote for Moscow Mitch
