Okay Ill probably delete the thread once I get a consensus but I have been getting mixed answers for days on both ktt and reddit and people I know irl
I got cyberpunk new a couple days ago from my girl for Xmas. I guess she pre-ordered it knowing I was somewhat excited for it
But here's the issue. I got a (literal) launch day ps4, like I got it the day it released in 2013 or whatever
Is it going to actually run fine for me or no?
I played fallout 4 on launch day and was totally fine with it. I played gta5 single player on launch and remember no issues (never played online). Played the s*** outta fonv and skyrim when they dropped too w no issues.
And I'm sitting here alone w my girl after work bored wondering if it's worth ripping open and booting up since the return price drops the second I open it (and I'd be super happy w ff7r instead, loved the demo)
What yall think? Reccomendations for a different game even or boot that s*** up??
Get a refund now and wait till you get a ps5 so you can get it cheaper plus with all the fixes/dlc that comes out

Yeah this tbh. I’ve been excited for cyberpunk since it was literally just a teaser trailer back in like 2013 and I’m still just gonna wait until I cop a ps5 and it gets updates.
I refunded it since I got it on last gen. I now have my next gen console and I dont plan on getting it
wait til you get it on next gen.
i have it for series x and have 70+ hours in the game, having a blast

Okay I'm leaning on returning based on replies but
Im not planning on copping a PS5 for a very long time. Like until I get a massive raise/finish school which may take 2 years
Still better idea to return and invest in a more functional game?

Holy s*** 70 hours that fast? What drew you into it?
Im thirsty for a game to sink real hours into. Spend so much time on pokemon go

even after the patches it seems like its still pretty damn bad on base consoles, if I were in your position id wait. definitely still possible you'll have a good experience and seeing that it's a gift it might still be worth trying out

Feel like this is the comment to put the last nail in the coffin. Will return it to gamestop tomorrow
Do you have a good reccomendation to switch it for? I only have ps4 and switch and use my switch more often

What sort of games/genres do you usually like, and what have you been playing recently?

yeah, idk i love the setting, the characters and the story really drew me in. it gives me big fallout new vegas vibes and thats one of my favourite games OAT.
im taking it very slow though, no fast travel, no ride skips, no dialogue skips, im taking it all in, and loving every minute of it

I liked the fallouts a lot and skyrim and gta5 solo. Have played the ever living s*** outta pokemon go the last 2 months
I prefer s*** that's like an rpg or stuff like smash bros on occasion. My favorite games are mainly stuff like early ff and Kingdom hearts

Dragons Dogma on either PS4 or switch, pretty sure it’s discounted on PSN right now

Just started playing this today game is pre dope so far even if it feels a little outdated would be dope if it was a proper remake
refund it
i have it on PC with good specs and while it's... able to run, it's broken. even beyond the performance, it's an epidemic of bugs. don't even want to think about how it is with base lastgen console performance.
i will say that plot, characters, and (most elements of) the gameplay are top notch and i'm having lots of fun. but by the time it's fixed, you'll be able to buy the goty edition or whatever for like $30.
