I was into this girl I was working with. We had great chemistry, it felt like she might be into me too. I asked her out, thought she said she'd text me, never got a message and then she started seeing this other guy who frequented our workplace so I assumed she wasn't interested

Started dating her 2 years later and she told me she actually said yes but was waiting on me to text her, assumed I wasn't interested when I didn't and started seeing the other guy. She eventually reached out through our mutual friend and I think we'll have a very long and happy relationship

So I'm not gonna say "Don't s*** where you eat" and never get involved with a coworker. This woman and I could have been dating for 3 years now if I just stepped up, made my intentions clear and pursued her. If it's something you want, make a move before you end up having to watch/hear about her with someone else

Your coworker does sound toxic though and like she might work unpleasant for you, whether the relationship goes well or not. That's the reason I wouldn't pursue this, you need a certain level of maturity if you gonna be f***ing around with someone at work
