As I said earlier, there’s no way they had this album early and we had no info whatsoever until the second it dropped and there were no leaks of the album, songs or even lyrics

I did actually and the observations were very surface level, whether it be singular ideas, guest features or anything that could be gained from just skimming through the album

ok got it. imo that’s much more important than the score.

i also think another week wouldn’t change these reviewer’s scores. they listen to things on a certain level based off who they are and how important culture/arts/music/rap music is to their publication. time won’t change that, plus they have a backlog of other music they have to get to to publish more reviews so they’re not really going to spend that extra week delving any deeper.

and I disagree that just bc we don’t hear leaks that they don’t get the album a week early. these ppl have jobs that they dearly want to keep and many jobs require confidentiality.

If it’s the case that the day one reviewers actually got it early then yes. Otherwise they straight up reviewed it based on their bias based off reputation going in
