See, I’m from the south and a lot of fishing and sometimes hunting is done as a means of survival and for food. But it’s also mfers who hunt for the sport which I can’t really fw so I see what you’re saying
Yeah exactly you get it, originally it was a way for food, but not only do we not need to do it now, but people do it as a sport. What makes it a sport compared to all the other ones out there? It is a filler word for a cruel action.
I didn’t know that.
How does that hurt the economy?
38 billion dollars of taxpayer money goes to subsidizing meat and dairy. Otherwise a burger would be $13+
Non-sentient life forms*
Almost all animals are sentient. It's sapience they lack. The ability to ask why.

Was talking about cutting stems off plants
What about the nutrients you can almost ONLY get from meat?
There aren't any
I mean you're acting like eating meat= heart disease. Of course you need vegetables, but having meat in your diet doesn't mean you'll get heart disease lmao.
It means your risk is greater so that is potentially exactly what it means
Was talking about cutting stems off plants
Oh whoops totally didn't read the context
I wonder how many the average meat eating human consumes in their lifetime
that would be a crazy statistic
edit: a 2015 article estimated 7,000 animals in a lifetime
Just had to bring this thread back to post this info that I remember and started looking for today. Next time you argue that eating a locally raised cow or pig is environmentally better than eating some vegetables grown in another country maybe actually both to learn if that is correct or not.

I can’t believe people even think otherwise. They are running actual factories for crying out loud.
