I had so much Lil Wayne content on my ZUNE
Even knowing what a Zune is has become old head exclusive knowledge lmaooooo
I learned HTML and CSS off MySpace and charged a kid in my math class $50 to hide the player on his profile so you couldn’t pause Curtis 187 whenever you came on his page
Mind you this was a 14 year old white kid requesting this
Real ones know Limewire was one of the newer downloading services.

When micheal jackson was acquitted all MTV and BET played was Micheal Jackson music videos >>>
I still have old mtv vids playing in my head without sound from back then. later id recognize those to be from clipse, camron, kanye. speaking of, I remember loving Graduation tracks (especially Homecoming), his videos were on all the time. years later I had my rock phase and the only rap track that I had on my Sony Ericsson was Homecoming
I remember buying double-disc bootleg 50 cent discography (with mixtapes) with my dad. he still has one of those cds in his car and that s*** changed like three or four of his cars lol. I had snoops blue carpet treatment mixtape on repeat, but never listened to dre like that
I grew up during the Massacre era, so we had a store selling durags and yankee hats and chains and s***; we were just a bunch of 3rd graders appropriating gangsta rap and skate culture 50's You Don't Know was EVERYWHERE and I loved every second of it. come to find out years later it was a single from some random compilation lol. Wayne came into scene and I was one of those who checked out by that time. mtv would only play reality shows and the media (as little of exposure as I had to it back then) really tried to portray Wayne as the worst rapper ever and the reason rap is dead (hi nas)
it was 2007 or 8 and my idols were nowhere to be seen: post 808 kanye, no more snoop like that, 50 was doing whatever the f*** by that time also. never cared to go back and listen to 2pac or biggie, got into anime and thps soundtracks where id only listen to punk rock tracks (AND busdriver's imaginary places)
that'd continue till early 10s and tldr I got into rap music again went thru every possible discography and here we are and Wayne is one of my favorites ever too
My first ringtone was I think they like me remix by dem franchise boyz on a virgin mobile flip phone
the white cover with the black back?
I remember when WATTBA was recorded. lt was another late, sleepless night in Atlanta. The studio was packed, yet intimate all at the same time.
Gold Digger was the first hip-hop that had a lasting effect on me, I was probably 9-10 y.o
